Please join me in supporting this year's fundraising campaign, "GIVE BIG!". The money raised through our efforts helps enrich our education here in St. Helena. Personally, I have had some great experiences including field trips, outdoor education, and drama productions. GIVE BIG allows our public schools to thrive in our community. (The image displayed was taken in Yosemite on our 8th grade trip. I had an amazing time with everyone, including my friend Joseph Brawdy, who is with me in the picture.)

What is Give Big? / Que es Give Big?
Give Big is the annual fundraiser for St. Helena Unified School District.

How are your donations spent? / ¿Cómo se utilizan sus donaciones?
The money that is raised is divided among St. Helena's four public schools and managed by St. Helena Public Schools Foundation and each school's parent-teacher group. Teachers (and even students!) apply for grants to fund innovative learning. Give Big spends more than $350 per student, per year. The monies raised pay for special instruction from visiting professional artists, poets, writers, scientists, engineers, and mathematicians. Funds go toward special training for teachers, amazing field trips (hiking in Yosemite, sailing in San Francisco, snorkeling on Catalina Island - to name just a few!) STEM learning tools, media & technology equipment, school celebrations & community events, fine art programs, and so much more. Thank you for your support of St. Helena's public schools!
El dinero recaudado se divide entre las cuatro escuelas que forman parte del Distrito Unificado de St. Helena y es administrado por la Fundación de Escuelas Públicas de St. Helena, el grupo de padres y maestros de cada escuela. Los maestros (¡e incluso los estudiantes!) solicitan becas para financiar el aprendizaje innovador. Give Big asigna más de $ 350 por estudiante, anualmente. Los fondos recaudados se aplican la instrucción especial de artistas profesionales, poetas, escritores, científicos, ingenieros y matemáticos visitantes.
