Hello Family and Friends,

It is time for the annual fundraising campaign, Give BIG! that benefits the K-12 students of St. Helena Unified School District.  This year is bittersweet for me  because the last Pelosi child is graduating in June.  I know I shouldn't be surprised about how time moves, but this has snuck up on me as I realize that our chapter with St. Helena schools is coming to a close as a family.  I could not be more proud and happy that my kids were able to be a part of these schools.  I love hearing my kids, 2 of which have some distance from their St. Helena schooling, tell other people how grateful they are for being able to attend the public schools here.  Whether it was a connection with a teacher, a class that sparked an interest outside of the classroom, a sports team or drama production, the tests results that were both good and bad (because let's face it, you do learn from failure), they are proud to call themselves products of a well rounded public educaiton. 

So in this spirit of gratitde, I am here to once again ask for your support for this Give BIG! fundraising campaign.  These additional monies are spent directly on K-12 students to enhance their curriculums and classroom experiences.  Whether it be field trips, guest speakers, individual birthday books for the younger students, dance and theater programs, artist series programs, these dollars make a difference.  I have seen it happen firsthand.
